Sabbatical Photo Diary Week 2

Alison Studying Interpretive Sign at the Butterfly PavillionAlison Gallensky is taking an 8-week sabbatical this summer, from June 15 to August 9. Back at work on Friday, August 10. While she is away she will be thinking about how to update the Southern Rockies Wildlands Conservation Vision based on the new science that has been developed in the last 15 years or so including wildlife connectivity and climate change. She will also be attending two GIS conferences in California as part of a road trip exploring the western United States.

She is documenting her time away through a series of photos and observations for each business day. Here is her second week:

Day 9 Wednesday June 27

I visited the Denver Museum of Nature and Science with my sister Anne. Spent most of my time looking at the Dead Sea Scrolls (no pictures allowed) but also quickly stopped by my wolverine friend and discovered the cool alebrijes.

Day 10 Thursday June 28

I watched  RezDawg Rescue settling up while eating breakfast. Watching a collection of curious kittens is a great way to start the day. Looks like a dedicated, hard working bunch and a good cause!

After breakfast, time get ready for the Sabbatical Road Trip.
