Due to a recent federal court ruling, the Bureau of Land Management has released a new phase of oil and gas leases that span 732,822 acres across Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Wild public lands must provide safe harbor for diverse species by protecting the ecosystems upon which we all depend—it’s time to phase out fossil fuel development on public lands in the U.S.

The public comment period on these proposed Bureau of Land Management oil and gas leases is now open–and it’s time to make your voice heard!

That’s why we’re joining our friends at Great Old Broads for Wilderness, LOGIC, and the Wyoming Outdoor Council to host a free Zoom webinar Making Your Bureau of Land Management Lease Comments Count on Thursday, November 18, at 6:00 PM MT to learn to make more effective public comments on these proposed lease sales.

You’ll learn:

  • How to use our Oil and Gas Toolbox for Activists to stay informed and make comments on specific land parcels.
  • How to use our GIS mapping software to track the status of individual Bureau of Land Management parcels.
  • And so much more!
