Banff is back in a big way! Join us for the first in-person showing of the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Durango since February 2020!

This Friday and Saturday, join us for award-winning films that will expose you to mountain cultures from around the world.

This year’s festival will take you on thirteen excellent adventures where you can experience the wonder of skiing through stunning rock caves in Slovenia, the joy of boating through the Grand Canyon, the freedom of the trail, the heart-stopping exhilaration of BASE jumping, the determination it takes to thru-hike the 1,900 km Ice Age Trail in winter, and more. And that’s all on Friday!

Typically, each spring, Rocky Mountain Wild and the San Juan Citizens Alliance team up to host the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour in Durango. But due to COVID, we’ve missed one and a half years of adrenaline-pumping mountain adventures. This fall, we’re back, and hosting two nights of amazing documentary films. Each night will feature a different line up, so be sure to get tickets for both.

Friday Highlights

Friday’s films include: A Dog’s Tale, Can’t Beat This Place for Fun, Precious Leader Woman, Jump to Zero, INSIDE – A Hole New Ski Experience, REEL ROCK 15: Action Directe, and Breaking Trail. (Full descriptions can be found on our event page here).

Live show audience feedback of the program included “This year’s Audience Choice Award-Winner, Precious Leader Woman is the emotional heart of the evening – a film of great heart and resonance.” and “All the fantastic female energy is refreshing.”
