Join Rocky Mountain Wild on December 10 at The Bug Theatre for an evening of powerful films, conversation, and connection.
This year’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival lineup brings together four stories about wildlife, conservation, climate, and the people working to protect the places we love. From pikas and bats to cougars and decades of environmental advocacy, each film offers a different window into what it means to care for the natural world.
Come for the films, stay for the conversation, and leave with new ideas, new connections, and plenty of inspiration for how we can all show up for Colorado’s wild places.

Denver Show
When: December 10, 2026, 7:00-9:30 pm MT with doors opening at 6:30 pm
Where: The Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211.
Tickets: In-person tickets are available for $20 for an Individual ticket. Space is limited, so reserve your seat here.
Virtual Show
When: The online video will be available on-demand starting on December 10 at 7:00 pm MT through midnight on December 17.

The Films
- Decades in the Making – Follow Ventura Land Trust as it works to open a new public nature preserve while navigating invasive species, the impacts of cattle grazing, and active oil and gas leases on the landscape.
- Wild Hope: Bat Vax – As white-nose syndrome devastates bat populations across North America, scientists test a bold new approach to help protect them.
- Wild Hope: Cougar Crossing – The story of P-22, the famous Los Angeles mountain lion who inspired the world’s largest wildlife crossing and a broader movement to reconnect wildlife habitat.
- Speaking Eep! – Follow Dr. Chris Ray and PhD candidate Rachel Billings as they work to decode pika communication and better understand how these climate-sensitive animals may adapt to a changing environment.
Film Panel
Once the films wrap, we’ll keep the conversation going with Dr. Chris Ray and PhD candidate Rachel Billings, who are featured in Speaking Eep!. They’ll be joined by Rocky Mountain Wild Conservation Biologist, Megan Mueller to talk about pika research, what we’re seeing here in Colorado, and how that connects to RMW’s Colorado Pika Patrol.
