Rocky Mountain Wild works to protect, connect, and restore wildlife and wild lands in the Southern Rocky Mountain region. We envision a biologically healthy future for our region – one that includes a diversity of species and ecosystems, thriving populations of wildlife, and a sustainable coexistence between people and nature.

Public Lands Need Your Help AGAIN: Defend the Public Lands Rule

URGENT:  In 2024, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) finalized the Public Lands Rule. This rule formalizes the legal requirement that conservation must be on equal footing with industry. Its provisions ensure that wildlife and wildlands are protected and that indigenous voices are heard. But in September, the Trump administration proposed to overturn the Public Lands Rule.

We must let the government know the public supports for the Public Lands Rule. Your voice can make a difference. Please take a few minutes to submit a comment in support of wildlife, clean water, recreation, and so much more! The comment period ends November 10, 2025. PLEASE ACT NOW!

Oil and Gas Lease Sale Comment and Protest Periods Open!

Rocky Mountain Wild is committed to opposing the current administration’s call to “drill baby drill!” This is part of their larger agenda to drill, log, and mine virtually all public lands.

You can make a different by submitting comments or protesting upcoming sales. Rocky Mountain Wild screens all federal oil and gas lease sales across the Rocky Mountain west to give you the information you need. Find opportunities to engage in Oil and Gas Actions.
